Why Stacks Price Is Rising: Bitcoin Staking Demand Is in Focus
  • Stacks price is attempting to extend its recovery as Bitcoin staking attracts attention, but stronger network activity is needed to reinforce bullish momentum

  • Holding above $0.40 could open the door toward $0.50, while a break below support may weaken the recovery and trigger brief selling pressure

Ever since the Stacks (STX) price rebounded from the yearly lows to close at $0.11, it has maintained a strong upward trend. The price has surged by more than 220%, reaching $0.42, and has also broken above a crucial resistance zone at $0.40. Currently, the price is showing signs of a strong recovery, drawing the trader’s attention back to the token. However, the network activity does not appear to support the uptrend, while derivatives show some hope. The focus is now more on whether the price rally may extend further or not.Â

What’s Driving the Stacks (STK) Price Higher?

Stacks is drawing renewed attention following developments in its Bitcoin staking program, with the completion of its second staking bond. A few days ago, on October 12, the platform announced that Bond 2 had filled its approximately 500 BTC capacity, with more than 6.7 million STX bonded alongside it. The program also targets a 3% yield paid in Bitcoin.

The latest Bond also expanded participation through Bitcoin DeFi protocols, including Stacking DAO and the Xverse pool, allowing staked Bitcoin to remain useful within the Stacks ecosystem. Attention is now shifting toward the third bonding period, expected to open around November 10, 2026, which is expected to bring in more institutional participants as custody integrations progress.

Network Activity Raises Concerns

The on-chain activity remains almost flat. The active addresses that dropped below 1400 in the first few days of the month have dropped below 1000. Despite the strong recovery in price, the number of active addresses has been declining, suggesting that network participation has yet to demonstrate a sustained increase.

The chart also shows fluctuations in daily active addresses throughout the period, with activity repeatedly moving above and below 1,000. This makes the latest reading important to monitor as STX trades above $0.40. A consistent increase in active addresses could strengthen the recovery by indicating greater participation.

Stacks Price Analysis: Can STX Hold Above $0.40?

The price is testing a key price zone after recovering sharply from the local lows and reaching $0.43, serving as an important threshold for ongoing recovery. Buying pressure has also increased, which could keep prices pushing higher. The important zone now is $0.4022, which is a key level that could strengthen the bullish outlook.

As seen in the chart, the open interest is rising alongside the rising price, which indicates new derivative positioning entering the market. Besides, the cumulative volume delta (CVD) also shows a notable positive spike, indicating aggressive buying. Looking ahead, STX needs to hold above $0.4022 and build momentum toward $0.4609 to strengthen the bullish case.

What’s Next for the STX Price Rally—Will the Buying Pressure Sustain?

Stacks (STX) price is attempting to extend its recovery, supported by renewed interest in Bitcoin staking. However, sustaining the rally will depend on continued buying pressure and improving participation across the Stacks ecosystem. Holding above $0.40 could support further upside toward $0.5, while a loss of support may weaken the bullish outlook. The coming sessions will be crucial in determining whether STC can sustain its recovery or faces renewed selling pressure.
